About Me

I am a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Toledo Department of Environmental Sciences. I came to earth and environmental sciences from a background in biology, motivated by an interest in how ecosystems interact with their broader environment. My research investigates how changing environmental conditions impact microbial ecosystems and their preservation using a combination of morphological, biological, and geochemical approaches. I have worked on both modern and ancient systems in the field and the lab, employing techniques such as microCT scanning, 16S sequencing, and stable isotope mass spectrometry.
